Josh Bruno Named Coach of Tallahassee S.C.
First Head Coach in Tallahassee Soccer Club’s History

Tallahassee, FL—Josh Bruno has been named the first head coach in the history of the Tallahassee Soccer Club, an elite amateur men’s soccer team that launched in 2018. Bruno holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Diploma and a NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma. For the past three years Coach Bruno has worked as a Program Director for Florida Elite-Tallahassee and served as the Lincoln High School varsity boy’s head coach.

Coach Bruno has served as the Varsity Boy’s head coach at Lincoln High School since 2016, leading the Trojans to one playoff appearance and a regular season district championship with an overall record of 35-11-9 in 3 seasons. Most recently, Bruno coached the Tallahassee Democrat’s 2017-18 Big Bend Player of the Year, Gavin Mott-Smith.
Prior to coaching at Lincoln, Coach Bruno was the first head coach for the men’s JV team at Thomas University. He helped start the program and led the team to a record of 19 -6-2 in two seasons. Before starting the JV program, Bruno was an assistant coach for the men’s team at Thomas University under head coach, Ricky Zambrano. During his time at Thomas University, the Nighthawks appeared in a Conference Championship Final and were nationally ranked in the Top 25 poll. Bruno coached multiple players named to All Conference Teams, the All American Team, and professional teams in Europe.

Coach Bruno is a graduate of Thomas University where he was a four-year starter for the Nighthawks soccer team. He is the sixth leading scorer in school history and was named to the Thomas University All Time Starting XI.
Bruno has spent time as a head coach or assistant coach at Tallahassee United Futbol Club (2008-10), Holy Comforter Middle School (2008), Chiles High School (2009-10), Maclay School (2011) and Top of Florida (2011.)
Josh Bruno resides in Tallahassee, FL with his wife, Renee and their three children, Easton (6), Jensen (4) and Reagan (2.)
Tallahassee Soccer Club is a non-profit established to help develop soccer in the region through experiences and community organization.
